About Katie & Jim
Katie & Jim Fairchild were inspired to open a residential assisted living home after seeing, first hand, the problems with nursing home care and even large assisted living facilities. Katie’s mother spent time in a nursing home as well as an assisted living home, and the care for her mother was not at all what Katie expected or felt her mother needed. This can better be expressed in an article that Katie wrote concerning Hospital Patient Care~Advocate Caring Is Needed.
A few years after her mother died, Katie and her husband Jim, were hired as live-in caretakers for an elderly lady; providing her with round the clock care. After she passed away, they realized how important it was to open their hearts and home to other seniors that needed a family environment where their needs could be addressed and where they could live out their days in dignity.
Located at 10005 Mt. Charron in Hunstville, Alabama, Safe Haven Senior Family Home goal is to give seniors the high quality care and attention they need and deserve. Safe Haven Senior Family home aspires to be the best residential assisted living home in Alabama.
